MKM, founded in 1995, is the UK’s leading independent builder’s merchant, with branches across England, Scotland and Wales. Since their first branch opened in Hull they have expanded rapidly through new branch openings and select acquisitions. Due to MKM’s rapid expansion, they were constructing a new depot and needed a temporary building to facilitate a small merchandise shop.

Our Principal modular building product range are compliant with building regulations and specifically designed to provide enhanced fire protection, which provided the perfect temporary building solution for MKM as a growing business trading with the public. We safely delivered and installed nine building modules comprising of a shop floor and offices.

Pickerings were able to provide MKM with a full turnkey solution including several items from our Pickerings+ and Essentials ranges; above ground foundations, a DDA access ramp, an automatic double entrance, climate control, emergency lighting, fully equipped office areas, vermin skirting and fire extinguishers.

The customer also received full project management and were able to use their own signage for branding purposes.
