FORS Silver Accreditation for Pickerings
Pickerings is pleased to have achieved silver status in the Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme, commonly known as FORS.
Following a long-standing accreditation to FORS Bronze at all Pickerings locations our depots in Kent and Aylesbury are the first to achieve FORS Silver. Plans are underway for other depots to work towards achieving silver certification.
The Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a scheme for fleet transport operators. Its purpose is to raise the level of quality within its fleet operations and to demonstrate which operators are achieving the required standard.
To achieve accreditation FORS encourages operators to take a closer look at their operation and identify areas of strength to be exploited and areas for improvement to be addressed. A successful bronze audit provides an operator with reassurance that their operation is being run safely, efficiently and in an environmentally sound manner.
The higher Silver accreditation is awarded to operators who maintain their Bronze accreditation and are able to demonstrate that they have developed driver licencing verifications systems, their vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are equipped with a left turn audible warning system and their vehicles are fitted with blind spot minimisation devices.
Pickerings Managing Director, Neil Moss, said, “We are really pleased to have achieved the FORS Silver accreditation which is a tremendous achievement for Pickerings and is reward for the hard work put in by our people. It demonstrates our commitment to working in a safe and sustainable environment.”
Pickerings provides a range of high quality modular and portable buildings to either buy, lease purchase or hire from eleven depots nationwide.
